Postage and Delivery

Finest Filters offers free delivery to UK customers on all orders placed on our website, regardless of the amount spent. Free delivery is available for UK customers only.

UK Delivery Options

Same Day Despatch on orders placed before 3pm (weekdays).

For UK Mainland based customers, we have four delivery options which can be selected at the checkout:

1. Royal Mail Tracked 48 - Cost: £FREE (Usually Delivered in 2-3 Days) Deliveries run Monday to Saturday.

2. Royal Mail Tracked 24 - Cost: £1.49 (Usually Delivered Next Day) Deliveries run Monday to Saturday.

3. DPD Next Day - Cost: £4.99 (Delivered Next Day) Please Note: DPD only deliver Monday to Friday, so orders shipped on this service on Fridays will not arrive until Monday.

4. DPD Saturday Delivery - Cost: £10.99 (Delivered on Sat) Orders must be placed before 3pm Friday.

UK based customers who are NOT mainland customers can still select the Royal Mail options, but the DPD service is 1-2 days for remote areas and costs £9.99. We are unable to offer the DPD Saturday delivery to customers who are not UK Mainland based.

By inputting your address and postcode, the services and prices shown will be accurate based on your address details.

Orders placed with standard freepost service will be shipped via Royal Mail Tracked 48 service. This is generally a 2 Day service however in rare occasions it may take up to 3 working days for your order to arrive.

Orders placed with the expedited DPD Next Day service: This is a next day service, and the order should generally arrive on the next working day (Monday to Friday). Please Note: DPD will not deliver the parcel on Saturday or Sunday. Items shipped via this service on Friday will arrive on the following Monday. If you supply a valid email address and mobile telephone number, DPD may contact you with the tracking details, and provide a range of different delivery options for your parcel.

Please Note: we may split your delivery into more than one parcel if size or weight limits will not allow us to ship the order in one parcel. If this is the case, you will receive separate order dispatch emails for each parcel, each with its own tracking number.

Dispatch Times

Orders placed online or by telephone before 3pm Monday to Friday will be shipped on the same day, using the selected delivery option. We do not dispatch orders on weekends or bank holidays, and these orders will be shipped on the next working day. You will receive an order dispatch confirmation email with tracking details once your order has been shipped.

Tracking Details

All orders will receive a dispatch confirmation email when the order has been shipped. This tracking number can be used to track the parcel on the appropriate courier website.

International Delivery Options

We welcome international customers, however a delivery charge will be applied to customers based outside of the UK, to cover the added costs of shipping the item overseas. This charge will be automatically calculated based on the weight and size of items placed in your shopping basket and displayed at the checkout stage before the order is confirmed.

All international orders are shipped with a tracked service, and the tracking number will be emailed to you once we have successfully dispatched your order. We do not ship items using standard airmail services, as we find this service to be unreliable, and delivery times can be unpredictable.

Import Charges

When you buy a product from a non-EU country, VAT is payable on your purchase irrespective of the value of the goods. In addition to VAT, you may also have to pay customs charges for goods, and excise duty for specific goods. If the terms of sale do not specify another arrangement, the goods can be held by the customs authority at entry, pending the payment of duty and tax, amongst other reasons (if the goods are prohibited in the EU, for example).

We do not include any customs charges in the total value of orders, as each country and the items purchased result in varying charges. If the buyer decides to not pay the customs charges, then the item may be returned back to us after it exceeds its retention period in the postal depot.

Large Aquarium Delivery

If you have ordered a large aquarium from us, we will attempt to contact you by telephone or email to arrange the delivery of your new aquarium. Large aquariums are shipped on a pallet service through Palletways, and this is a kerbside delivery service. Please Note: The delivery driver is unable to assist with the unloading of your aquarium from the pallet, and the responsibility for this lies solely with the consignee.

Most of our large acrylic aquariums are supplied in multiple boxes and are relatively light and can be unloaded from the pallet easily with 1-2 people. For larger glass aquariums, it may be necessary to have additional assistance to help with the unloading process. If you have any questions about the delivery for large aquariums, please contact us.

Damages:

We ask you check all items on the day of delivery for any damages. In the unlikely event you receive an item that is damaged, please let us know as soon as possible by emailing photos of the damage to: sales@finest-filters.co.uk with your order number. We regret we cannot offer replacements for damaged items after 48 hours of delivery.

Bulbs

We ask that all bulbs are tested on delivery. The lifespan of fluorescent bulbs do vary considerably from bulb to bulb so we are unable to offer a guarantee with this type of bulb.
