400gpd 4 or 5 Stage Reverse Osmosis RO Unit with Booster Pump

Finest Filters 400gpd RO Unit. This unit comes with 3 pre filters (5 Micron Sediment, Carbon Block filter and Granular Carbon GAC filter cartridge) and also a Booster Pump to increase the pressure for optimal performance.

This RO Unit comes complete with a 400gpd booster pump that are connected to the back of the unit which boost the water supply pressure to the unit, meaning that the water pressure it at its optimum for RO water production. A UK transformer is also supplied for running the unit.

This unit comes complete with all filters and accessories to be run out of the box, although it can also be supplied with optional extras when ordering.

Option 1: Water Feed type. Please select either a self-piercing feed valve (for tapping into a 15mm copper pipe, left in below image), or a 3/4" BSP screw in connector (for connecting to a garden tap or washing machine Y adapter).

Option 2: This unit can also be converted into a 5 stage unit with the addition of an optional DI stage. By adding on a DI stage to the unit, this will further reduce the contaminants in the water, providing ultra pure water. The optional DI chamber reduces the TDS (total dissolved solids) in the RO water.

Features:

• Booster pump which increases pressure through the unit to the optimum to provide faster production of RO water, better quality RO water and longer lasting filters
• Will automatically flush to help keep the filters clean - no need to manually flush.
• Has high and low pressure switches to detect when the water is running through the unit and shut it off if it detects no water going in (to protect the pump) or back pressure caused by an auto shut off (prevent wasting water).

Considerations before buying a Reverse Osmosis unit:

• The process of producing RO water is very slow due to the intensity of the filtration process.
• For an RO unit to be able to produce pure water, it needs to reject the majority of the water that goes into it. You will tend to get around 1 part pure water to 4 parts waste water. For example, every 10 litres of water that goes into the unit, you will get around 2-3 litres of pure RO water and the other 7-8 litres would go to waste.
• This RO unit is purely for producing pure RO water. If you are using it for producing drinking water, you will need to remineralise the water before drinking due to the purity of the water the unit produces.
• Due to the time it takes to produce RO water, If the water is going directly to a tap, you would also need a Pressurised Storage Tank so you always have water on hand ready for when the tap is opened.
