Similar to the Bacteria House, these tubes are made from a porous ceramic material, making them an excellent biological filter media. Due to their large size, they are ideal for sump tanks where an effective biological filter media is required.
Box of 25 x large 180mm x 40mm diameter bio tubes. The internal diameter hole is 15mm.

Each tube has a very high surface area for denitrifying bacteria to colonise to reduce harmful ammonia and nitrite in your aquarium or pond. Large organic solids and decaying matter are degraded at a far greater speed than conventional biological filter media.
Suitable for both freshwater and marine aquariums, and ponds too!
